Mrs. Ed Brokken died last night at her home 1 1/2 miles east of the city.
She died of typhoid fever. Burial will be at Union Cemetery. She was
formerly Mabel Ann Tilford, born January 28, 1888 at Salem, Iowa. She is
survived by her husband and an adopted son, Kenneth Dwaine, a year old April
1 and a daughter, Kathryn Loraine, 4 months old. An infant daughter preceded
her in death over 3 years ago. She also leaves a sister and a brother, Mrs.
Hattie Hollingworth and Cloa Tilford of Salem, and two nieces, Mildred and
Marjory Tilford of Salem.
