The petty thieving, which was so prevalent in the county three or
four years ago, and partially suspended with the breaking up of
Holub's "fence," in Canton, seems to have broken out
fresh. Last Saturday Jesse Wilson's place was visited and his
buggy, harness and the collars belonging to his work harness
carried off. Last night Harry Thompson had twenty chickens
carried off without his knowledge or permission, leaving him only
two to go on.

J. W. Crabb at Crabb's Mill is now putting in a fine stock of
merchandise to exchange for heading bolts, cord wood, or eggs. Of
course, he wouldn't refuse cash but rather trade. Give him a
call.
