Hon. Eli Cole, mayor of Bellevue, is one of the delegates to the
Grand Lodge of the Knights of Pythias. Eli is the youngest mayor
in the state of Iowa, but that is not to be wondered at, as he
has the “git there” qualities which always attend that
name. We can remember when we initiated Eli into the Amphyction
Literary Society and how the boys put him up and made him get
hold to the old flag. Mr. Cole is as enthusiastic a Knight of
Pythias as he was a college society member.-Cedar Rapids
