Dr. J.F. Conn has bought out the interest held by his brother,
Dr. Carl E. Conn in the hospital here and is now the sole owner.
Sgt. Wm. Nimocks, Chas. F. Carter, Frank Elser, Emmett Conn,
Graham Fisher and Wm. Rothermel are representing Company B in the
state rifle shoot on the range at Des Moines this week.
W.I. Ferguson returned Thursday from Racine, Wisc. driving home a
Mitchell six from the factory. He stopped off at New Hampton and
brought home Mrs. Ferguson and son, Jennings, who had been
visiting there.
Ed and George Walsh, D.C. Barnes and Ross Latchaw drove to
Aurelia Thursday to take in the ball game between LeMars and
Aurelia. Ed Walsh umpired the game.
A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Louis Brucker of Arthur July 10.
Alvin Miller returned yesterday from Iowa City where he had been
purchasing equipment for the new manual training department and
gymnasium of the Iowa City high school.
Cards have been received announcing the marriage in New York City
of Edward Meents and Olga Peters. The marriage took place Sunday,
July 7, and the young couple plan to be at home in Ida Grove
after September 1.
