While engaged in switching in the Sioux City yards last week,
F.J. McVickar, former citizen, caught his foot in a frog and was
held there while a freight train backed over him, killing him.
About thirty members of the Baptist church and neighbors invaded
the houshold and surprised Mr. and Mrs. Needhan New Year's night
on their thrity fifth wedding anniversary.
The stork visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Crandall last
Friday evening and left a baby boy.
Prof. E.T. Shepard has tendered his resignation as superintendent
of city schools.
