Mr.
and Mrs. William Kauffman, Max, Marie, and Mildred started early Tuesday morning
on a motor trip to Goshen, Indiana. From there they will go to Ohio for a
visiting trip.
Dr.
and Mrs. Hoyt Allen and son left by auto for their home in Little Rock, Ark.,
after and extended visit at the Dr. E. C. Allen home.
Mrs.
Emma Oxley Heward, a former Wayland resident, came from Wyoming to attend
homecoming and will remain for a visit with old friends in this community.
H.
H. Clark and wife, Frank Clark and Prody Borsoski of Brighton, left early
Wednesday morning for Peoria where they will attend the National Rural Mail
Carriers’ Convention.
Mrs.
Ruth Mallory was taken to the Memorial hospital Tuesday where she submitted to
an operation for appendicitis. Her mother, Mrs. Nellie VanSant and Mr. and Mrs.
Marion Reel were in Mt. Pleasant Wednesday to see her.
Mrs.
Minnie Sutter and children Ruth, Estella, and Joseph, Miss Aldine Sutter and
Orie Eigsti returned Thursday from a weeks visit with relatives in Nebraska.
Mr.
and Mrs. Ezra Gingerich and daughter, Elna, of Kalona, were over Sunday guests
at the home of Mrs. Gingerich’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Orendorff.
