Mrs. Lucy Smith Dead
Well Known Resident Passed Away Sunday Morning

Death claimed Mrs. Smith Early Sunday After Long Illness with Heart Disease.
Funeral Tuesday.

Mrs. Lucy B.[Lucy Bell Crew] Smith and aged resident of our community passed
away at her home southwest of the city at four o'clock Sunday morning. She
had been a sufferer with heart disease for the past four months so that her
death was not entirely unexpected. Deceased was the wife of the late Peter
J. Smith who passed away a number of years ago. Two children are left to
mourn, Charles Sydney and Mamie Jane.
Funeral services will take place Tuesday, a short service to be held at the
home at ten o'clock followed by services at Salem at two. Interment will be
in Salem.
