PERSONALS.
~~ Miss Augusta Parker has returned from her trip west. ~~ J.F. Plunkett, of
Missouri, is in this county on a visit to relation and friends. ~~ T.
Packard is off for a week's rest from business visiting a brother in Webster
Co. ~~ Jo. Mitchell spent Sunday in Mt. Pleasant. ~~ Mrs. Tate, of Ottumwa,
is in Mt. Pleasant visiting Mrs. Frank Pyle. ~~ We are sorry to hear of the
illness of Hon. John P. West. ~~ T.S. Ross and wife started to Moingona this
week for a brief visit. ~~ Our friend Joel C. Garretson and wife have gone
to Illinois and Ohio, for a few weeks' visit. ~~ John W. Martin, of St.
Louis, is back in Mt. Pleasant this week among old friends. ~~ J.S. Cook, of
Burlington, has been spending a few days in Henry county this week among
friends. ~~ Miss Helen Melvin who has been visiting with her uncle, Dr.
Lyon, has returned to her home in Washington, Pa.
