FOUND BABE DEAD

Yesterday morning the Albert SMITH family living in the northwest part of town, were suddenly grief stricken when the mother went to the bedroom and discovered that her five month old baby had smothered to death. The little one was an exceptionally good child, and was in the habit of staying very quietly in bed until the mother had finished her morning's work. About eleven o'clock the mother went in to awake the child and found it had in some way gotten the covers over its face and life was extinct before she had arrived. Arrangements for the funeral have not been made when we go to press.
