He returned to his home Sunday morning and that evening suffered a stroke. Mr. Shepard received a broken back a number of years ago and was only able to get about in a wheel chair.

Funeral services were held from the home yesterday morning at 10:30, being conducted by Rev. Suckow and burial was made in the Alden cemetery.

Deceased is survived by four brothers: L. C., Eugene, R. G., of Ohio, and Deloss at home; and by three sisters, Grace and Mrs. Fred Parker of Alden and Ollie of Los Angeles. He is also survived by his aged mother, Mrs. Augusta Shepard.

The many friends of this family extend deep sympathy to them in their sorrow.
