A telephone message was received here Monday afternoon from
Webster City, announcing that Mrs. Seeley had just died very
suddenly. While sitting in her chair after dinner she was taken
with heart failure and before she could be relieved life was
extinct. The remains were brought to Alden on Wednesday morning,
and the funeral was held at the Methodist church at 10:30 o'clock
conducted by Rev. Robbins, after which she was buried by the side
of her husband who was laid to rest there just five months and
two days before. Sarah Robinson was born in Sipio, Cayuga Co. New
York. She was united with the Methodist Church when 15
years old and was married to W. R. Seeley on December 2, 1849 and
of this union there was born three sons and one daughter. She
reached the age of 67 years, 10 months and 18 days at the time of
her death. For many years with her family she resided near Alden
and leaves a large circle of friends to mourn her death.
