PERSONALS
Pvt. Don Burnett arrived home Friday from Camp Roberts, Cal., to
spend a 12-day furlough with his wife and family.
Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Kimmell of Eldora visited here Friday with the
formers mother, Mrs. L. E. Kimmell.
Pvt. Ralph Burckle, who has been stationed at Camp Roberts, Cal.,
is spending a 13-day furlough here with his family and friends.
Mrs. R. E. Jones has returned to her home here after spending the
winter months at Orlando, Fla.
Earl E. Warren, GM 2-c, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Warrant, left
Friday evening for the east coast after spending a 14-day leave
here with relatives and friends.
Major Frank J. Lund of this city was in Boone Saturday afternoon
where he took part in that citys memorial service for
Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Miss Diana Mills, who is a student at the University of Iowa,
Iowa City, has arrived here to spend the weekend at the home of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mills.
Cmdr. Franklin Mason arrived in this city Friday evening from
Bethesda, Md., for a short visit with relatives and friends. He
will leave Saturday night for the west coast.
Plt. Sgt. and Mrs. Forrest Bailey are spending a 30-day furlough
with relatives here and in Fort Dodge. The sergeant has been
located at Great Lakes, Ill., and Mrs. Bailey has been there with
him.
Lt. John F. Boeye has arrived here to spend a two weeks
leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Boeye, after a years
service in the South Pacific area. He will report from here to
Foster Field, Texas, for special training.
Lt. (j.g.) George Selby arrived here Friday night for a short
visit at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Selby. He
has just returned from 13 months sea duty in the Atlantic area
and will go on from here to California to visit his family.
