AT FARRAGUT
Boyd L. Hetland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Hetland of
near Williams, is taking this boot training at Farragut, Idaho. A
former member of Company F, Iowa State Guard, he entered service,
May 30.
FIRST LIEUTENANT
Stanley T. Hoversten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Scalino
of Stanhope, has been promoted from second to first lieutenant.
Lieutenant Hoversten is stationed at Camp Adair, Ore.
NEW ADDRESS
Sgt. John Stepp of this city has been transferred to
Camp Maxey, Texas.
PROMOTED
Word has been received here that Robert S. Severson of
Jewell has been promoted from second lieutenant to first
lieutenant.
TRANSFERRED
Cpl. Gallord Ballantine has recently been transferred
from Camp Pickett, Va., to Flora, Miss.
TO SUB CHASER SCHOOL
Thelma Sipma, S 2-c of the WAVES has completed her basic
training at New York and has been transferred to sub chasers
training school at Miami, Fla. Before she entered the naval
service, Miss Sipma was employed by the Northwestern Bell
Telephone company of this city.
TRANSFERRED TO ATLANTA
Lt. Wayne L. Zeiger, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Zeiger of
this city, has recently been transferred to Atlanta, Ga., from
Carlisle, Pa.
AT CAMP STEWART
T-4 Ralph W. Graham of this city has been transferred
from Orlando, Fla., to Camp Stewart, Ga.
