Laura Etta Cline was born in Panora February 8, 1859. After a
months illness, she passed away at the home of her daughter Helen
in Wasco, Wash. She grew to womanhood in Panora and lived here
until 1903 when the family moved to Oregon, where they had since
made their home. She was married Feb. 13, 1879 to H.H. Gilbert.
Seven children were born to them, 5 boys and 2 girls. The oldest
boy Lowell and the husband passed away a few years ago. She was a
faithful member of the Presbyterian church and an active member
of the Eastern Star, and was a member of the 1st class to attend
Guthrie County High School. She was a loving and self-sacrificing
wife and mother and will be truly missed by the whole family.
