Monday October 15, 1894 Arthur Crosson was killed at Yates
Center, Kansas while coupling cars. The remains were brought to
Panora for burial. Many Panora people will be interested in this
sad event for Mrs. Crosson was formerly Miss Anna Gilbert who is
well known here. She was married to Mr. Crosson Feb. 1, 1889.
Mrs. Crosson was accompanied from Eldora KS by Messers Frank
Killey and E.S. Meade of Eldora, Mr. Crosson's associates on the
railroad, Mr. James Gilbert of Las Vegas NM, and Mrs. Hattie
Gilbert of Chetopa KS. The deceased was a member of the Odd
Fellows Lodge in Eldora. The Panora lodge took charge of the
services. The burial took place at the East Cemetery Friday
afternoon October 19, 1894. Mrs. Crosson started on her return
home accompanied by her friends Friday evening
