OBITUARY
Jacob Acord - Mrs. M. R. Swanson of Missoula, Mont.,and Raymond
G. Acord of Newcastle,Wyo., brought the remains of their father,
Jacob Acord, Fremont county pioneer, back to Sidney for burial
Tuesday morning. Funeral services were conducted from the
Wildberger funeral home by Rev. R. Q. Ludy, pastor of the
Presbyterian church of which Mr.and Mrs. Acord and their family
were active members during their residence here. Mrs.Elizabeth
Adams, Mrs. Vernon Johnson, Mrs. J. R.Ettleman and Mrs. Henry
Butler had charge of the music. Pall beares were Albert Van Ness,
nephew of the deceased, F. A. Engleke, Lewis Hills, Mike
Spittler, C. I. Thompson and Verne Gaylord. Mr. Acord was born in
Fremont county, August 2, 1856, and died at Hot Springs, S. D..,
July 22, 1938. He was married to Lucy Belle Yowell, March 22,
1914. The two children, Mrs.Bernice Swanson, and Raymond G., nine
grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive.
