Charles Fremont Simmerman was born at Farragut August 27, 1884.
With the exception of short periods of time in Nebraska, Mr.
Simmerman spent all his years in and around Farragut. For the
past eight years he has been faithful in driving a school bus,
feeling keenly the responsibility for the lives of the children
in his care. In earlier manhood he was married and had three
little children, but sorrow came also as Max died in infancy and
Donald Wane when nine years of age. Then the loss of the wife and
mother brought added sorrow. When a young man, he was baptised in
the Christian church at Farragut. Since last Easter he has been a
member of the Methodist church and faithful in attendance at its
services. Mr. Simmerman's age at the time of his death was 51
years 7 months 3 days. He was of a family of 12 children, all
living with the exception of one brother who died in infancy and
Arthur who died in France during the world war. Those remaining
to mourn his passing are his father, Esther, his daughter,. his
second wife and daughter Betty Neil, four sisters, Mrs. Mabel
