Obituary
William Williams was born in Bourbon county, Ky., Jan. 14, 1813.
He has lived in Iowa for thirty one years and was the father of
six children, five of whom are living. Mrs. Wiliams died seven
years ago and since then Mr. Williams has lived with his
daughter, Mrs. T. T. Rhea of Locust Grove township. He died June
21 at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 7 days. Funeral services
were held at the Locust Grove church last Thursday at 3 P.M.
conducted by Rev. J. B. Bartley, assisted by Revs. Culver and
Gillespie, after which interment was made in Locust Grove
cemetery.

Thurman
Price Thacker died at his home in Scott townsip on the 27th
instant. He was one of the oldest settlers of Fremont county,
very aged, and has been in poor health many years.
