Percival News
- E. R. Hawley has taken one of Dan Reynolds' girls to bring up.
Milt Hackett has one of the boys.
- John Copeland, Esq., has had a slight attack of sickness. Like
all of the early settlers in this western country he has seen
many changes, and had a varied experience. Thirty years ago
Copeland's Wood Yard landing was known far and wide, and he had a
most magnificent body of timber for a long distance along the
river bank and sold thousand of cords of wood to passing
steamers. He was also partner in an extensive saw and girst mill
near the bank of the river. Some years ago Mr. Coopeland bought a
fine tract of land out on the prairie, and built a nice large
dwelling house, where he still resides and enjoys the confidence
and good will of his old friends and neighbors.
