Married.
On Thursday, June 24th, 1880, by Rev. Wm. L. Hunter, Mr W. C. Collins and Miss Kate M. Allen, all of Floyd Co.

DIED.
HACKLEY – In this city, Friday, June 25, at 10:30 a.m. Deacon Samuel Hackley, aged 81 years, 6 months and 20 days. Mr. Hackley was born in Otsego Co., N. Y., Dec 5th, 1798. He has been twice married, his first wife being Miss Amanda Averill, who died in 1844. He came to Iowa in 1856, in the meantime having married Mrs. Mary Lamborn, of Ohio. He has been a resident of this city for the past twenty-four years, bearing and deserving in all that time the name of a true Christian, a good citizen, and an honest man. Few men stand higher in any community and fewer men will be more sincerely mourned. The funeral took place Saturday at 4 p.m., Rev. N. M. Clute conducting the exercises.

Married.
GEORGE – FREEMAN –At the residence of John Bell Esq., in Ulster twp., July 13, 1880, Mr. Frederick George and Miss Hattie Freeman, both of Rockford.

DIED.
HOBERT – Thursday, July 15th, 1880, at home in St. Charles twp. Johann Hobert, Sr., aged 79 years, 5 months and 3 days. Mr. Hobert was a native of Saxony, Germany, but has long been a resident of this country. His funeral took place Sunday afternoon and was very largely attended.
