SOME HAZELTONIAN NEWS AND NOTES

Mr. and Mrs. A. Burk and Miss Genevieve Agnew, of Fairbank, were guests of their aunt, Mrs. John Kent, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Chapman, of Aurora, were guests in the A. A. Lewis home Wednesday. They took Mrs. Millie Haven home with them for a week’s visit.

Mr. Peck, of Vinton, is here visiting his nephew, Fred Wilson.

Miss Myrtle Bigelow attended a sociable in the Richards home at Stanley, Thursday evening.

Mrs. Mary Sharfenstein, of Clarksville, came Thursday for a visit in the home of her brother, E. R. Prindle.

The Zimmerman families enjoyed a picnic Thursday at the George Zimmerman home southwest of Hazelton in honor of Grandma Zimmerman’s 86th birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Allen, of Muscatine, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Diehl and family, of Waterloo, and the Hall families, of Independence, were here for the occasion, besides many families in this locality, who are related.

Mrs. Jesse Gilson returned to her home in Waterloo Thursday after a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. DeLair.

Mrs. Loren Botsford and children returned Thursday from their visit with relatives in Des Moines.

John Menzel has purchased a fine steam automobile from Mr. Wright, of Independence. It is a dandy.

Mr. and Mrs. Woodworth and family motored to Quasqueton Wednesday and spent the day with her sister.

Kyle Ozias, Misses Yetta Vargason and Lila Short motored to Quasqueton Wednesday where they went as delegates to the County Sunday School convention from the Presbyterian Sunday School.
