While G.O. Stone was harrowing with a large three section drag
and a team of four horses abreast, his wife and little girl came
to bring him a drink of water. Of a sudden the team took fright,
whirled around and ran directly over Mrs. Stone and her daughter
before they could get out of the way, dragging the harrow over
them also. It seems almost a miracle that they were not, nor were
they seriously injured. The horses did not strike them and the
harrow seemed to have kinked so as to strike them only lightly.
Dr. Dodd was called and dresses the wounds and they are both
getting along nicely.
