Estherville Enterprise, January 3, 1906
J.W. Daniels and wife and two children have moved to Estherville from Fairmont, Minnesota, and are occupying the Hinthorn property near the M.&St. L. depot, which Mr. Daniels recently acquired. Mr. Daniels was one of the earliest settlers of Martin county, homesteading near Fairmont thirty-six years ago. For several years he has followed mercantile pursuits and will engage in the real estate business in Estherville.
Jeremiah Luther Miller of this city died yesterday at Fairmont, Minnesota. He was born in Heights township, Schuylkill county, Pennsylvania, October 18, 1866, and was married to Miss Catharine Jane Meddle, September 25, 1889. The family came to Estherville from Defiance three years ago and Mr. Miller was for some time in the service of the Rock Island as brakeman. He is survived by his wife and three children: Alice Jestine, Lois Ruth, and Raymond Luther. The remains will probably be taken to Superior for burial.
