-Albert Davidson visited friends in Emmetsburg over Sunday.
-Mr. and Mrs. Martin Izer returned last Friday from a two weeks
visit at Cedar Rapids.
-Mrs. O.J. Brown and her son Henry left last Tuesday for
Ogalalla, Neb. where they will visit with Mr. Brown's sister,
Mrs. Hattie Horton.
-Frank Knowton who has recently purchased a half interest in
Byfield's livery barn, has sold his half interest to a gentleman
from Independence.
-Mrs. L.R. Bingham returned home Thursday morning from Oregon,
Ill., where she had been for sometime by the bedside of her
invalid mother, Mrs. Tracy. She was accompanied by that lady who
will make her home with Mr. and Mrs. Bingham in the future.
-Miss Ida Anderson is staying with her sister Mrs. A.F. Lough
this winter and attending school.
-M.F. Collins who has been driving the switch engine here for
some time past, made his first trip as an engineer on the road to
Iowa Falls, Saturday.
-Mrs. Martha Rose who has been sick for a long time at the home
of her son, Henry, died yesterday morning.
Marriages.
Albert J. White of Estherville, Iowa and Lora E. Nichols,
daughter of Mrs. F.M. Nichols of Warsau, Minn., were married at
noon, Wednesday, October 2nd, at the home of the bride.
One of our popular young dentists, Dr. Finn, was married to Miss
Mae Crozer of Cedar Rapids, at the home of her parents in that
city, Wednesday evening, October 2nd.
