-Fred and Will Luikhart are enjoying a visit this week with a
brother and friend of Guernsey county, Ohio.
-John BArber furnished D.K. Putman a car of carley for shipment
this week at thirty-four cents per bushel.
-Mayor E.J. Woods sold the Wescott farm in Emmet township to a
Mr. Kohler from Fort Madison, Iowa, last week.
-Messrs. Peddie and Woods sold over two sections of land in Jack
Creek and High Lake townships last week to parties from near Rock
Island, Ills.
-The A and B classes comprising about twenty-five pupils of the
village school had their pictures taken in a group Monday.
-Edgar Dodgson has sold his stock of jewelry to S.H. Matison who
will henceforth carry on the business as heretofore with Mr.
Kelly in charge.
-McCoy and Lucas are running a new Case threshing machine and
boast of threshing eight hundred bushels of oats in four hours
recently.
-Dr. E.H. Ballard, W.J. Pullen, and State Superintendent Akers
started west Tuesday evening on a hunting expedition in Dakota.
They are fully armed and equipped and expect to be gone about two
weeks.
-Miss Jennie Johnston, the assistant P.M. has just received a new
piano.
-Mr. Howard Graves is making an addition to his south brick store
room of about 25 feet. This room is eventually to be occupied by
E.E. Sondrol as a dry goods store.
-Gaylord Graves and wife of Northwood, Iowa are guests of their
son Hon. Howard Graves.
