DR. G. W. SCOTT CONTINUES TO PRACTICE THE
VARIOUS BRANCHES OF HIS PROFESSION
OFFICE and residence, corner of 6th and Iowa Streets. Wishing to
avail himself of every means that may aid in restoring all
derangements of human organization, he has recently procured one
of Dr. C. B. Barrett's Electro Galvanometers, which is admirably
adapted to the treatment of many forms of disease, to which many,

REGULAR PACKET
Between St. Louis, St. Peter's, and St. Croix
The substantial, light draught, steamer Cora, J. E.
GORMAN, Master, will run as a regular packet between the above
ports, during the next season, commencing her trips on the
opening of navigation. April 3rd. 1849
BROKE JAIL
ESCAPED from the Dubuque County jail, on Monday, the 5th
Nov., about 5 o'clock P. M., ISAAC S. BARTON, a prisoner sent
from Delaware County for safe keeping, and awaiting his trial, on
the charge of horse stealing. Said Barton is 30 or 35 years old,
about 5 feet seven inches in height, dark curly hair, inclined to
be bald; has a peculiar habit of gritting his teeth; had on when
he left a good fur cap, dark dress coat, dark stripped
Pantaloons. Any person who will deliver said Barton to the
undersigned, or give such information as will lead to his
apprehension, will be liberally rewarded.
