MRS. F. J. HALLER DIES AFTER A LONG ILLNESS. NATIVE OF
GERMANY HAD LIVED IN BURLINGTON FORTY-THREE YEARS.
Mrs. F. J. Haller, 1950 Bertsch Avenue, died at the Burlington
hospital at 6:30 o'clock last evening. She had been ill for over
two years but it was not until yesterday noon that her condition
appeared to be serious enough for her to be taken to the
hospital.
Mrs. Elizabeth Haller was born in Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany, on
October 17, 1868, and came to Burlington forty-three years ago.
She was married to Fred J. Haller on July 20, 1887. She was a
member of the Oak Street Baptist Church and of the Ladies' Aid
Society of that church. Besides her husband, she is survived by
one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Giese of Burlington; three sons, Louis
and William of Burlington, and Fred of Davenport; two brothers,
W. Dietz of Burlington, and Dan Dietz of West Burlington, and six
grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon with private services
at the Burnett-Wallen mortuary at two o'clock and at the Oak
Street Baptist Church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be in the
Aspen Grove Cemetery.
