Off for Ireland-Last week without consulting Geo. McKean or any
of this playmates, Barney O'Malley pulled out for a visit to his
native place in Ireland. He expects to be gone several weeks, and
may extend his visit to Paris.
Returned from Ireland-Mr. and Mrs. James Mitchell returned home
last week from their visit to their old home in Ireland. They
were absent several months and enjoyed good health and had a
delightful time. Mr. James Calhoun, a nephew, accompanied them
home, and will remain in this country. Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell will
now make this their permanent home.

The state board of control is preparing the list and amounts to
be paid the patients at Mount Pleasant asylum. This money was
provided for by the last legislature. It was embezzled by Dr.
Gilman while superintendent of the institution.
