-Mr. and Mrs. Martin Patzner spent Sunday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Walz in Dubuque.
-Mr. and Mrs Roy Burnham of Osterdock were visitors in Guttenberg Saturday.
-Armin Grossel was home from Rock Island Saturday and Sunday.
-Albert Gilbertz and Woodrow Wenkstern went to Des Moines the first of the week on business.
-W.H. Blake of Clayton was in town on business Wednesday.
-Mr. and Mrs Ed Berns and Mr. and Mrs Marvin Berns of near Osborne, visited relatives in Guttenberg Saturday.
-Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Drenkhahn and son, of Cedar Rapids, visited in the parental William Drenkhahn home over the weekend.
-Herman Pfiffner, who had been here on a visit in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs Alfred Pfiffner, returned Sunday to his home in Dubuque.

-Joseph Theisen and son Clarence of Luxemburg were in town on business Friday.
-Gus Garkow and Leo Wagner made a business trip to Colesburg Saturday.
-Mate Hill, Charles Crider and John Blackwell of McGregor were in Guttenberg on business matters Monday.
-Mrs. Martha Bowman has been on the sick list since last Friday.
-Mrs. Henry Klink and son and Mr. and Mrs Alvin Klink of Communia, were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs Earl Meder in Guttenberg.
-Herman Reil of Independence came to Guttenberg for a two weeks' visit with his siter, mrs. Walter Jenkins and husband.
-Miss Virginia Uriell, student at Elkader Junior college, was a week end visitor in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs G. Uriell.
-Mrs. Roland Moellering of Garnavillo spent several days here in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs Lou Moser, helping them get settled in their new home.
-Helen Kruemple of Colesburg visited her grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Franks, who is ill.
-Joe Kainz of Elkader is taking treatments at the Mrs. Fred Mueller home.
-E.J. Roggensack of Waukon was in Guttenberg on business on Tuesday.
-Mrs. William Brookover and daughter of Turkey River visited friends in Guttenberg Monday.
-Beth Webber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Webber, has scarlet fever.
-LeRoy J. Bowman, of McGregor was a Tuesday visitor in the home of his mother, Mrs. Martha Bowman, who is ill.

-Wesley Haines left Saturday for Waterloo, where he is to be employed by the WMT broadcasting station.
-Mr. and Mrs Clarence Bolsinger and family left Tuesday for their new home near Greeley. Their many friends were sorry to see them leave.
-Miss Esther Bolsinger and mrs. Morga Follman, who are employed near Elkader, spent Sunday in the parental Norman Bolsinger home.
-Ike Lester of Sydney, N.D., is visiting at the N.M. Bolsinger home. His mother is a siter of Mr. Bolsinger.
-G.W. Welsh and Jack Smith are on the sick list, and are not improving.
