C.J. McNally, 47, Died at Sumner
Clement J. McNally, 47, for many years associated with the Cass
theatre chain, died at his home here Monday night of a heart
attack. He had been in failing health for some time. Born at
Emmetsburg, Iowa, October 28, 1891, he attended Creighton
university, Omaha, Neb. and married Hazel Cass Davidson Jan. 15,
1930. The widow survives together with his father at Emmetsburg
and with the following brothers and sisters: Morris, Detroit,
Mich., R.B. [Ray], Cincinnati, Ohio, Sister Mary Edwardetta [Vera
McNally], Dubuque, Mrs. William Joint [Joynt], Emmetsburg, Mrs.
Paul Kerber, Emmetsburg and Mrs. Floyd McKane [McCain], Palmer,
Iowa. McNally was active in the Knights of Columbus, Commercial
club and Rotary
club. He was a leader in the movement for establishment of the
municipal light plant. Following a brief prayer service in the
Berg funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by Rev. John
Fischer, the body was taken to Emmetsburg for burial.
