C.R. Wallis visited over Sunday with relatives in Postville.

Walt Parish returned to Thornton Tuesday morning after a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Parish.

Miss Agnes Miller returned to Waterloo MOnday after a few days' visit at the home of her brother, D.T. Miller.

Mrs. J.M. Keller returned home Wednesday morning from a fifteen-day visit with her sister, Mrs. W.R. Hinman, in Chicago.

Miss Leona Paschke and friend, Harold Scott, of Waterloo, were Sunday guests at the home of the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Paschke.

Fred Thompson has been running the grocery delivery wagon the past few days while the regular deliveryan, Vern Knight, is courting in New Hampton.

Geo. Malloy, who had been at Appleton, Minn., the past year and who had been visiting relatives here the past week, left the latter part of last week for Wolf Point, Mont., wherehe will hold down a government claim for the next eight months.

Mrs. M.L. Woodbridge went to Waterloo Tuesday to visit her mother, Mrs. John Fletcher, who is in the hospital where she recently had a cataract removed from one of her eyes. We are glad to report that Mrs. Fletcher is improving nicely.

Mesdames Arthur Johnson, G.C. Perkins, P.E. Stuart, J.J. Harker, J.F. Fiske, M.E. Case, R.L. Cagley and G.E. Ellison were visitors in Waterloo and Cedar FAlls yesterday.

H.T. Dexter went to Cedar Falls yesterday morning where he spent the day with his daughter, Mrs. E.P. Smith, going on that evening to Cedar Rapids where he is taking in the EAstern Iowa Exposition.

Miss Mame Weller returned the latter part of last week from Kansas City where she had been attending the International conservation meeting. She stopped off at Ames on her return and visited a day or two with Victor and Panline Flint, who are attending Ames college.

We note by the Charles City Press that the Mephisto-Cleven Company that uput on the bum show at the opera house a couple of weeks ago has disbanded. The jeers and jibes they got here put an end to their state career and they cancelled all dates and disbanded the following day.

Mesdames C.L. Johnson and W.F. Getsch, being that their husbands are away in other states on business, went to Cedar FAlls Tuesday afternoon on a little enjoyment of their own and took in the military tournament and aviation meet yesterday.

E.E. Tracy is still quite sick with stomach and bowel trouble.

Miss Edna Lee of Charles City, came down yesterday to visit at the I.D. Baldwin home.

The L.E. Eck modern, eight-room house, with good barn and two lots, is for sale by N.E. Gary.

Miss Helen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Tracy, is having quite a siege of quinsy this week.

Miss Minnie Plagens, of Tripili, came Saturday and is visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. F.A. Marks.

H.T. Dexter spent last week visiting relatives at Toledo, Iowa, and attending the fair being held in that city.

Miss Margaret Jones returned to Manchester Saturday afternoon after a visit with her friend, Miss LIllian Runge.
