Mrs. F.W. Stanton spent Sunday with her parents in Charles City.
F.W. Stanton, the jeweler, asks the ladies to bring in their
shears and he will grind them without charge.
O. Legge and wife and E. Kimball and family attended a reunion of the
Linderman relatives at Fredericksburg Saturday. There were 100 present, some
coming from New York, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota and different parts of this
state. It is pleasant to meet with so many and to be able to trace relationship
back as far as 1756 and to consider the changes made since our forefathers
landed in this country.

A Happy Reunion
Last Thursday evening Mr. L.D. Steadman's brother, F.D. Steadman, of Anoka,
Minn.,with his wife and children arrived in town to visit for a few days with
L.D. and family whom he had not seen for over 30 years. Our Mr. Steadman threw
all business cares aside for the time being and devoted himself to entertaining
his visitors. On Sunday the two families drove over to Fredericksburg where a
family reunion was held at the home of a sister, Mrs. M.W. Rawlins. It was a
happy crowd that gathered there, composed of four own brothers, five half
brothers and the sister at whose home they had gathered, and their families,
making a party of 45 people. Baskets of provisions had been brought and a very
happy day was spent. This is the first time the family was ever all together to
visit, and the circle was not complete on Sunday, one brother, one half brother
and a sister not being present, living so far away they were unable to get here.
Mr. F.D. Steadman and family remained at Fredericksburg where they will
visit until the last of this week when they return to their home at Anoka.
