Flight Officer John O. Chapman, son of Mrs. Leon Coggins, 312 Fourteenth street N. W., recently arrived at Rosecrans Field, a base of the ferrying division, air transport command, near St. Joseph, Mo., for advanced pilot training. He was born at Clarion, was graduated from Clarion high school and was manager of the Chapman Oil company at Eagle Grove until he entered the air corps. His wife lives at Eagle Grove.
