22 IOWA MEN DIE IN ACTION.
Washington, D.C. (AP)—Names of 22 Iowa soldiers killed in action in the European area were announced today by the War Department. They were:

Washington, D.C. (AP)—The War Department announced today the following Iowans have been wounded in action in Europe:

Sgt. Blaine B. Lohmeier, Clinton;
Pvt. Ernest R. Morgan jr., Muscatine;
Sgt. Gerald D. Suter, Mason City;
Sgt. Ray F. Watson, Waterloo.

NAVY CASUALTIES.
Washington D.C. (AP)—Four Iowans were listed as wounded and three as missing on a casualty list announced by the Navy department today.
Wounded:
Pfc. Gerald D. Cameron, Mapleton;
Pfc. Maurice W. Donohue, Cedar Rapids;
Pfc. Raphael J. Rottinghaus, Rockwell;
Machinist’s Mate Second-Class Frank Adam Warywoda, West DesMoines.
Missing:
Ensign Ace John Riggins, Lake View;
Seaman First-Class Russell L. Stevens, Des Moines; Machinist’s Mate Third-Class Frank Trosper, Hamburg.

PROMOTIONS.
Washington D.C. (AP)—Promotions to the following Iowa officers were announced today by the War Department:
Major to Lieutenant Colonel—Francis C. Reith, AC Des Moines; and David M. Reese, DC, Newton.
Lieutenant to Captain—Blaine L. Holen, AC, Ringsted.
Second to First Lieutenant—Elmer J. Larson, MAC, Cedar Rapids; Elizabeth M. Brooks, physical therapist, Creston; Ivian V. Long, AC-WAC, Davenport; Beryl G. Becker, dietitian, Waterloo, and Monroe K. Spears, AC, Sioux City.
Second Lieutenant James E. Healey, SN C., Creston, was ordered to active duty.
