DWIGHT HALL WEDS VIRGINIA MISS
Mr. and Mrs. Benn Hall received announcement of the marriage of
their son, Dwight, to Miss Dorothy Bolton of Alexandria, Va. The
ceremony too place December 30, 1933, in the Methodist church at
Annapolis, Md. The couple will make their home in Washington, D.
C., where the groom has a position as clerk in The Peoples Drug
Store. Dwight's many friends back here in Iowa extend
congratulations and best wishes for a blissful wedded life.
ALLISON MAN IS SENIOR AT HARVARD
Of the 59 students now enrolled at Harvard University, New York,
four are from this section of the state. They are from Jesup,
Independence,
Reinbeck, Waterloo, and Allison. Carroll H. Wild of Allison is a
senior in the law college, at Harvard University, and the only
one in Butler county to be enrolled there.
TRUCK AND PASSENGER CAR CRASH AT ALLISON
Harm Kneppe, trucker of Parkersburg, had a collision near Allison
last week when his truck was struck by a passenger car driven by
G. L. Zeller, Pittsburgh, Pa. Extensive damage resulted for both
cars, but neither driver was injured. Zeller was on his way to
Pennsylvania, after a visit with relatives in South Dakota.
COMMERCIAL CLUB TO MEET WEDNESDAY
The Commercial Club of Greene will hold their first meeting this
year above the Buchholz & Dralle store, next Wednesday
evening, January 17, H.A. Downs announced today. There will be a
business dinner after which a short entertainment will be given
and business meeting, during which time it is hoped that some
plans for the coming year will be discussed. The entertainment
committee in charge of the meeting is composed of Henry Dralle,
chairman, Roy Pooley, Glen Starkweather, Ray Neal, and A. H.
Soldwish.
