LOCAL NEWS
-Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Iverson are the proud parents of a son, born Tuesday, April 22.
-Herbert Beasley has gone into the country and is assisting on the farm at the Henry Miller home.
-Galen and Lorraine Hesalroad, who are attending the University at Iowa City, spent the weekend here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hesalroad.
-An Emmetsburg firm, McNally & McNamara, will represent a Council Bluffs company, dealing in farm lands in twelve northwest Iowa counties. Annis & Rohling of Council Bluffs, hold farm mortgages totaling $126,000.
-The output of Iowa creameries last year exceeded 200,000,000 pounds of butter for the first time in history. The figures received from creameries to date indicate there was a 5 per cent increase in the amount of butter manufactured in 1929 as compared to 1928, when there were 196,068,448 pounds of butter manufactured. The net return to farmers from dairy cows in 1929 should be a little different than in 1928.
