A Cedar Rapids special says: Nathan and Frank Rainsbarger,
convicted in Hardin county in 1887 for the murder of Enoch
Johnson and sentenced to life imprisonment in the penitentiary,
were pardoned today by Governor Clarke. The only condition was
that they remain peaceable and law abiding citizens for a period
of three years after which the pardon becomes absolute.
