Must Take "Jag" Cure.
Edward E. McNeel of Webster City has been sentenced under Iowa's
new inebriate law to one year in inebriate ward of Mount Pleasant
state insane asylum. This is the first conviction under the law
in that section of Iowa. The conviction has spread a deepset fear
among drunkards, who dread the insane
asylum more than any other form of punishment or attempt at
reform. The temperance element of Webster City will wage a
relentless warfare against drink under the new law.
