Our Local News
-Dan Kelley's residence came near buring down on Thursday last.
-Oliver St. John is the man who can make you a neat fitting boot.
-Scott Giles is recovering from a rather severe attack of typhoid
fever.
-Dr. Parr has been dangerously sick for the last few days. At
last accounts he was getting better, though he is still very low.
-Some time during the latter part of last week a little child of
Mr. S. Graham's, who lives near this place, tipped over on itself
a vessel of scalding water. It lived about two days after.
Cholera Infantum
This disease is prevailing to an alarming extent among the
children of this vicinity. Mr. J. McBurney's twin babes were both
buried on Monday last. One or two others have also died within
the past few days, but whose names we have not learned; and
others are very low with the disease.
Photographer
W.A. Snodgrass, the photographer, will be found at his rooms on
Thursday, Friday and Saturday of each week. The balance of the
time he will employ in taking "steroscophic Views". Any
one wanting photographs of residences, etc. taken, will please
leave their order at the photograph gallery.
