Nurse Ordered to Duty.
Miss Marie Leslie, daughter of Mrs. L. L. Leslie, has been ordered to report, Jan. 3, for a year of active duty with the United States Army Nurse Corps at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Little Rock, Ark.  She will go into the army with a rank of second lieutenant.

Miss Leslie is a graduate of the Traer High school with the class of 1932, and the last year has been floor supervisor in the Ellis Fischel State Cancer hospital at Columbia, Mo.

THREE INJURED IN WRECK NEAR DIKE
Casualties Include Mrs. Paul Stewart of Maynard.

Grundy Center, Ia.—Three persons suffered injuries as a result of a collision at the Dike corner on highway 57 Friday evening.

The accident involved the automobiles of State Senator Paul Stewart of Fayette county, who was returning from Des Moines to his home in Maynard, Ia., with his wife and Curtis Hartman, and a car driven by Julius Henningsen, of Dike, who was traveling west.

Henningsen was making a left turn onto the spur leading into Dike and failed to see the oncoming Stewart car due to the setting sun in time to avoid the collision.

Mrs. Stewart suffered head bruises and cuts and Curtis Hartman also was injured about the head and received a leg injury.

Henningsen suffered face bruises.  All three were given first aid treatment at Dike.
