JEALOUS WOMAN KILLS HER NEIGHBOR
Sioux City, Ia., Nov. 23 Mrs. Ella Nicolls, 46,
was shot and instantly killed Sunday night by Mrs. Martha
Oxberger, about the same age. Mrs. Oxberger is the divorced wife
of Henry Nicolls, husband of Mrs. Nicolls. Both women have been
married and divorced twice and have been living with their third
husbands as new neighbors. Sunday night Mrs. Nicolls, accompanied
by a daughter from another marriage, went to the Oxberger home
hunting for Nicolls. He was found hiding in the bedroom. A
quarrel ensued and Mrs. Nicolls is said to have slapped Mrs.
Oxberger. Mrs. Oxberger took a revolver from a drawer, fired one
shot and Mrs. Nicolls dropped dead with a bullet squarely through
her heart. Both Nicolls and Mrs. Oxberger are being held without
