The front page devoted one whole column to a report on a very severe blizzard the area had been recently subjected to.

(Submitter's note: The intervening issues of the paper had continued the early history of the county, covering such subjects as the Indians who had occupied the county, the wild game present in the county before it was settled, the waterways and timber lands of the county, etc. The installment in this issue was, and the remaining installments were; devoted to biographical descriptions of the early settlers, some in greater detail than others, numbering close to one hundred individuals, some accompanied with photographs of the biographical subjects.)
