Page 2 reported that the citizens of the town of Greenfield and its surrounding township had voted in favor of taxing themselves to assist in the construction of an electric railroad from Des Moines to Council Bluffs on a route which would serve Greenfield.

Obituary of Mrs. I. P. HALLOCK of Brayton, who had initially come to Iowa with her parents from New York in 1856. They had ridden the train to the end of the line as it then existed at Iowa City. They carried on from Iowa City to Audubon County by 'prairie schooner'.
