Oakfield-Brayton column.
The hardware merchant, George FREDERIKSEN, traded his hardware store to a farmer located out on Troublesome Creek named Soren ANDERSEN for Mr. ANDERSEN's farm. The two gentlemen will also soon be trading their respective occupations.

Brayton Ladies Aid Society will have a fund raiser, including dinner for twenty five cents. The dinner menu: "fried chicken, roast beef, baked beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, tomatoes, pickles, celery, cabbage salad, bread, butter, jelly, pie, cheese, doughnuts, coffee, etc.

--The Elk Horn furniture dealer is a man named Chris HANSEN.
--There is a movement afoot to build an electric railroad from Elk Horn to Walnut.

--There was a fine Christmas Tree and an appropriate program out at Oak Hill Wednesday.
--The subject for debate Friday eve, Jan. 4th, is:
Resolved, That Washington did more for his country than did Lincoln. The debaters on the affirmative are Mrs. CANNON and George ARNOLD and on the negative Clara SHEAKLEY and Prof. NELSON.
