Dr. KOOB is reported by the Oakfield-Brayton column as keeping busy vaccinating the local populace against small pox, but only as a precaution. The nearest reported case of the disease is about ten miles away from Brayton. Based on reports in prior summers Dr. KOOB also appears to be kept busy during the summer months treating outbreaks of typhoid fever.
