Luana
-Arthur Berg is wiring the Emma Oldag home now owned and occupied by the Elliott Nelson family.
-Mrs. C.B. Davenport spent the past week at Postville caring for her mother, Mrs. Evan Swenson, who has been ill with a cold and a heart attack.
-Fred C. Kamps returned to his home at Dubuque Sunday, having spent the past week with his daughter, Mrs. Lyle Engelhardt, and other relatives.
-Mrs. Dan McNeil returned home on Sunday afternoon from Postville, where she had been to be with her son, Leo, who recently underwent an operation for appendicitis at a hospital there. He has now left the hospital and is with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Palas.

Bethel
-J.W. Harris was a Waukon business caller last Friday.
-Horace Gordanier visited last Sunday in the Mr. and Mrs. Jess Uhl home.
-Geo. Brainard and Wright Enyart were Monona business visitors last Saturday.
-Miss Olive Grinder left Sunday afternoon to assist in the Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schultz home.
-Mr. and Mrs. John Dundee and baby visited in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lawson, in Postville.
-Mrs. Fred Segrist, who has been sick with the flu, is able to be up and around again.

Frankville
-On Tuesday, February 11, at Waukon occurred the marriage of Mrs. Lucille VanWey of Frankville to Mr. Lawrence W. Miller of near Waukon, Rev. VanNice of Waukon performing the ceremony. They will make their home on the farm of the groom's father near Waukon. Friends here extend congratulations and best wishes.
-Francis and Clarence Evert motored to Strawberry Point Sunday to attend the funeral of their aunt, Miss Josephine Balluff.
-Louis Christofferson, who has been in a CCC camp for the past two years, is here for a visit with his mother, Mrs. Dan Higgins.
-Rev. and Mrs. Fred Butler are the proud parents of a little son born to them Wednesday morning last at the Hall maternity home in Waukon. He will be christened Keith John. The mother and baby are getting along nicely.
