Congressman Biermann was honored at a huge homecoming banquet
in Decorah.
Chevrolet announces auto prices for 1936 models: $495 for a coupe
and $600 for a sports sedan.
Mrs. Frank Riser hosted a prenatal shower for Mrs. Herb Stirn and
Mrs. Odean Sandry.
Vince Spinner and Frank Asay are home from several months work
with a government surveying crew at Hanover, Ill.
Mrs. C. V. Schofield will give piano lessons.
Funeral services were held for Mrs. James Sires at M.E. Church.
Mrs. Carver Gantenbein entertained at a farewell for Mrs. Gale
Gantenbein.
Delores Wagner and Norbert Mack were married in Caledonia.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Snitker became parents of a son.
The Lansing Button Co. is making buttons from walnut and
butternut shells.

Local Happenings
-Howard Gordanier and his gun were out last Saturday and captured
a couple of jackrabbits to add to Thanksgiving delicacies.
-Rev. LeRoy Weihe of Cudahy, Wis., came Tuesday and visited until
Wednesday morning in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John
C. Weihe.
-Mr. and Mrs. Ira Smith and Evelyn Dresser, of Postville, Mr. and
Mrs. C.B. Davenport of Luana were entertained at dinner Sunday in
the home of Mrs. Evan Swenson.
-Mrs. T.H. Burns and family left on the early Monday morning
Sioux for their new home in Plankington, S.D., followed by the
best wishes of a host of friends.
-Mr. and Mrs. George Kerr of Frankville became the parents of a
baby boy born to them Sunday at the Hall maternity hospital,
which gives them a family of two boys and a girl - Waukon
Journal.
-F.C. Ruckdaschel has torn out the partitions in the northwest
corner of his Ford garage for the purpose of giving additional
and needed room and will also install a hydraulic jack.
