- Mrs. T.C. Medary died, with rites held in her home on Friday.
- Aschom Bros. have bought the groceries and the men’s furnishings of the Lansing Equity.
- Mr. Gleisner of Waukon broke just two birds out of 25 at the clay pigeon shoot. High was Wayne Robertson with 22.
- A boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ray Strub.
- Charley Hurm bought an eighty acre farm near De Soto.
- Freda Schuldt and Carl Krzbietke were married January 23 at Donnellson, Iowa.
- Herbert Hayes, Ruby and Mae Sires and Marjorie Kumpf have lead roles in the New Albin High School comedy, “Go Slow, Mary.”
- Pearl Sheriff and Fred Neumann were married at the home of Rev. Gable.
- The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Urban Sadler was baptized and received the name Eileen Vernie.
- Rose Quillin, employed at Roshek’s in Dubuque, is visiting her folks, the Phil Quillin family.
- S.W. Ludeking and F.H. Klees sold the Simon-Davis Drug Store building to A. Simon for $9,009.
- Funeral services will be held at Lycurgus for John Ronan, 75.
- Albert Jacobson, Leslie Pladsen. O.J. Moe and Mike Halverson drove to Decorah Friday to see Luther play Iowa Teacher’s College.

- Mrs. Thomas Riley’s funeral services were held yesterday at Lycurgus.
- The James McGuire family has returned to the old home in Lafayette twp., recently occupied by the Croyles.
- Julius Hurley of New Albin visited several days with Lansing relatives.
- Aschom Bros. has fresh trout, salmon and cod, herring, bluefins and sardines.
- Cap Withee left for his old haunts at Postville, the last of his family to leave Lansing.
- William Spinner went to Des Moines last week to attend a school of instruction on the new Chevrolets.
- James P. Baxter is selling his livestock and his machinery at an auction just north of Waukon.
- Ben Decker’s store in Churchtown has men’s shoes listed at $3.25, Holland herring for 12 cents a pound, and men’s Lion brand overalls for just $1.29.
- Anna Klinski and George Middendorf were married on February 6.
- At the Mask Ball at Kelly’s Hall in New Albin, Orvella Wilde won the prize for the best dressed lady.
- Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Buege left Tuesday for Winona, where he has secured employment.
