The annual meeting of the stockholders of the Postville Farmers
Telephone Company was held Monday. The following officers were
elected: president, E.E. Owen; vice president, J.H. Leui;
secretary, A.F. Foels; treasurer, George W. Fay.
The Postville Community Presbyterian church held its annual
meeting Monday. Carl Holter was elected Elder in place of H.S.
Luhnman. Other officers were: Secretary, F.H. Luhman; treasurer,
A.L. Peterson; trustees, Amy K. Meier, B.H. Bollman and W.H.
Burling.
The annual meeting of Arthur F. Brandt Post No. 518, American
Legion was held with the following officers elected: commander,
K.J. Kerr; vice commander, Lloyd F. Putnam; adjutant, Harry N.
Hanks, finance officer, Ed F. Schroeder; historian, Elmer E.
McMartin; chaplain, J.K. Sanders; master at arms, John A. Palas.
William Foels and Arbe Behrens were over at Waukon last Friday to
attend a meeting of county assessors and get instructions, and
shortly these gentlemen will start out on their annual tours in
Postville and Post township respectively.
