- The marriage of Minnie Burroughs and John O’Hare took
place October 29 at St. Mary’s in Dorchester.
- Lewis Ashbacher and wife and son John, and Raymond Zezulka
returned from Chicago Thursday.
- A girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Sandry.
Tom Gilbertson, post office clerk, won $100 in cash and also
second prize, a new Whippet car, in a subscription contest held
by the Waukon Republican & Standard.
- Frank Thompson defeated John Rouster 655 to 531 in the race for
supervisor in Lansing twp.
- Esther Dresselhaus, who teaches school in Wheatland area, was a
Sunday visitor with home folks in New Albin.
- A baby boy was born to the James Waldrons a week ago Saturday.
- Ben Berger went to Madison, Wis. last week where he expects to
find work as a bricklayer.
